Overview

Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge, is known for its monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs) and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. In the High Himalayas, peaks such as 7,326m Jomolhari are popular trekking destinations. Paro Taktsang monastery (also known as Tiger’s Nest) clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley.

Day 1

Bagdora Airport/NJP railway station to Phuentsholing Bhutan ( Distance 150 km, 4  hour drive )

After receiving guest from Bagdora Airport, journey will takes around 4 hours to reach to Phuentsholing Bhutan. Guest will be escorted by driver towards hotel in Phuentsholing. While reaching there you will be differentiated by the thickness of atmosphere presence.

Phuentsholing is Bhutans busiest border city with India, located on two South Asia Sub regional Economic Cooperation trading corridors, and is the country’s largest commercial and industrial hub.

Day 2

Phuentsholing to Thimphu ( Distance 147 km, 4 and ½  hour drive )

Guest has to visit immigration office for necessary permit escorted by guide. After getting permit, long journey starts from Phuentsholing towards Thimphu capital of Bhutan.

 

Sightseeing spot in Thimphu if time permit.

Day 3

Thimphu to  Punakha Day Excursion ( Distance 196km, 5 hour drive )

ü  Night stay at Thimphu


Day 4

Thimphu to Paro ( Distance 54 km, 1 hour drive )

After completing Thimphu sightseeing then head towards Paro valley.

Paro to Phuentsholing ( Distance 142.6 km, 4 and ½ hour drive )

Guest have option whether to do Paro Taktsang( Tiger Nest ) hiking or to spend leisure time in paro nd moves towards Phuentsholing.

   ü  Night Stay in Phuentsholing.


Day 6

Phuentsholing to Bagdora Airport/ NJP rail way station (Distance 150 km, 4 hour journey)

Early morning journey starts from Phuentsholing towards airport/railway station depending upon guest timing.
